Mattresses for camper vans

We have special mattresses depending on the van to be camped, with fittings for the trunk area.

In accordion for medium-sized vans, and in small vans such as Rifter, Berlingo, Kangoo and Courier, in “T” to make the most of the width between the doors, and sleep comfortably.
We make the small campers with 6cm of high-density D30 foam, and the medium-sized camper vans have 80mm mattresses and a density of D25Kg/m³.
They always fit folded in the trunk of the van.

What mattress is most recommended for sleeping in the van?

Comfort is a very relative and personal term. There are those who like hard mattresses, and there are those who prefer soft ones. At Camporan, folding mattresses by default are the result of a compromise between comfort and manageability: comfortable enough to sleep on, leaving maximum space so as not to touch the ceiling, and being light and transportable for when we want to store it in home or in the garage.

How thick are camper mattresses?

Our mattresses have a default thickness of 8cm, and “firm” foam with a density of D25 (30Kg/m3). The only exception is the Ford Courier model, which being smaller, we put 6cm and “hard” foam (D30Kg/m3).
But upon request you can increase the thickness, reduce it and increase density, or add a 3cm top layer of viscoelastic.

Can I change the color of the fabric?

The color we have in stock for our van mattresses is always navy blue. It is advisable to use a dark color, so as not to dazzle when driving at night. But upon special request, the color can be changed, within a range of available colors.

How long does it take to make custom mattresses?

For orders that we do not have in stock, the manufacturing time is about 2 weeks, but it is better to contact us to find out the exact availability.

Is it advisable to clean van mattresses?

Depending on the use you give them, the covers must be cleaned periodically. Naturally, it is a very subjective data, since it depends on whether you use sheets, whether you sleep in pajamas or naked, and whether you are a person who sweats a lot. To clean the covers, you have to open the zipper and remove the foam, which is advisable to let it air out for a few hours in a dry and ventilated place. The mattress cover, made of canvas fabric, can be washed at 40º, and it is recommended to dry it in full sun.
